When children experience trauma it is heart wrenching and we feel compelled to become involved.

That is why I support Act for Kids, an Australian charity which works tirelessly to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect.

Their work touches the core of our being.

Through long-term intensive therapy Act for Kids helps abused and neglected children to overcome their experiences. They also play an important role in helping to strengthen families at risk.

Next month I am looking forward to attending Act for Kids’ 30th Anniversary Gala Ball at the Royal International Convention Centre on 19 May.

This major fundraising event promises to be a night to remember and an opportunity to celebrate Act for Kids incredible work over three decades helping abused and neglected children to get their childhoods back.

Founded in 1988, Act for Kids provides therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of, child abuse and neglect. Act for Kids has helped thousands of children and families and operates 22 centres with a team of over 300 staff across Australia.

Act for Kids aims to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect while keeping the vision of making sure all kids have a safe and happy childhood, free from abuse and neglect.

I encourage you to please visit the Act for Kids website to find out more about this important issue and as well as how you personally can help and support their vital work.
